Creativity Tips: Take the Camera

I just got back from a trip to Florida. When I was packing to go, my husband asked if I was taking the Nikon and new lens.

"No," I said. "I don't want to bother."

AIEEEEEEEEEE. I can't tell you how many good pictures I missed, because the cell phone is not the Nikon.* Take a lesson from me. Don't be a lazy slug. Take the camera.

*However, I can subject you to a couple of the phone photos ... one today, and one tomorrow. This is a shot of a royal palm, on the only state historical site I've ever visited dedicated to an obscure religious cult. Celibacy was part of the religious doctrine. The group is now extinct. I can't make this stuff up.

Welcome back Jan, and the photo is cool!

And most celibate religious cults do die out . . . (had a joke to go here about or they go bankrupt for a certain reason, but I don't want to pollute your blog comments with smut.)

BTW - At Brainzooming the other day, my hand was forced to invite you to lunch. So do you have lunch plans Thursday?

See you later,

Mike

P.S. Notice I completely passed up the lazy slug oppty? I'm getting better! And BTW, I have to get you on Twitter so that you can enter this contest which ends at midnight.

Mike, you are a model of self control, and I'm thinking we need to take each other to lunch on Thursday. Fun idea (check the link, folks)!

Twitter sure got mentioned a lot with the inaugural yesterday ...

Well, I guess there's no need to scold you after the fact :-) Cameras always seem like a lot of trouble until you see the shot of a lifetime--then you realize why you bought one in the first place! You need to look at getting a palm size camera that you can toss into your purse so you won't miss those great shots.
