Creativity Tips: Be Brave

Happy Monday! As I thought about what to write for this week's posts, I realized I've never shared the question that lit a creative fire under me years ago:

What would you do today if you were brave?

I heard that question at a Speaking of Women's Health conference that my sister Eva took me to -- and I answered it. With a lot of support from the best creative team in the universe, I quit my agency job and started my own business.

What would you do?

If I were brave (and less than 100% pragmatic) I would quit work, and train full-time for the masters national time trial championship.

Well to be true, i've been always the bravest on among my friends and relatives.( i'm not narcist:))
But sometimes i don't wanna break one's heart by telling the truth and i have to lie.
That's why, if i were brave enough, i'd quit my existing job and while leaving my office i'd shout at my manager's face that " your pronounciation in both English and German is horrible, please try to keep your mouth up and not to speak any language till the end of your life".

(I'm like a bomb about to explode recently:( sorry)

It's interesting how many dreams involve quitting a job. There are only so many hours in a day, and there's that ever-present need for income.

On the other hand, Malcolm Forbes once visited a university I was working at, and told the graduating students: "If you're working five days a week so you can do what you want two days a week, something's wrong."

Hi Bob,
I think it's brave to put a dream out there. From my experience, that's the first step in realizing it.

Hey Burcu, I'm so sorry your life is stressful right now. Keep looking for something better suited to your talents -- you will find it! And I may have to do a post on the lies we tell to avoid hurting other people ...
